Named a “Rising Star” by the European Concert Hall Organisation in 2020, she has performed in the major concert halls across Europe.
Diana Tishchenko joined the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra at the age of 18 and, after two years, was appointed concertmaster, collaborating with conductors such as Colin Davis, Franz Welser-Möst, Herbert Blomstedt, Antonio Pappano, and Daniele Gatti. This early leadership experience demonstrated her exceptional musical maturity and laid the foundation for her international career. She has performed at the Rheingau, Schleswig-Holstein, Nantes (La Folle Journée), and Tokyo festivals, as well as at the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival and the Pablo Casals Festival in Prades.
Diana Tishchenko studied violin in Simferopol and at the Specialized Music School for Gifted Children in Kyiv. She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. She continued her soloist training with Boris Kuschnir at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. She was also influenced by Gidon Kremer and the pianists András Schiff, Rita Wagner, and Ferenc Rados.
Her debut album, “Strangers in Paradise” (Warner Classics, 2019), recorded with pianist Zoltán Fejérvári, received widespread acclaim from the international press.
Deeply committed to social and cultural initiatives, she performed Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with the European Union Youth Orchestra for the World Human Forum’s environmental project The Uncertain Four Seasons; the event was broadcast live on ARTE and named “Best Filmed Concert of 2022” at the Prague Film Festival. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, she has dedicated herself to numerous charity concerts across Europe, including performances at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Opera of Bordeaux, the Opera of Nice, the Berlin Philharmonie, and the G7 Summit in Bonn.
Highlights of the 2025/26 season include a return to the Liverpool Philharmonic and concerts at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and the Konzerthaus Berlin with Iván Fischer, as well as appearances at festivals such as the West Cork Chamber Music Festival.
Currently based in Berlin, she holds dual Ukrainian and German nationality, bringing her cultural heritage to every stage she performs on.
