Pascal Moraguès

Pascal Moraguès is widely regarded as one of the most distinguished clarinetists of our time. He has been Principal Clarinet of the Orchestre de Paris since 1981 and is Professor at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid.  

Throughout her career as a soloist, she has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Pierre Boulez, Semyon Bychkov, Carlo Maria Giulini, Zubin Mehta, Emmanuel Krivine, and Frans Brüggen. She is a member of the Moraguès Quintet, the Mullova Ensemble, and the Katia and Marielle Labèque Ensemble. 

In the field of chamber music, she has performed with Sviatoslav Richter, Daniel Barenboim, Elena Bashkirova, Christoph Eschenbach, Joshua Bell, Yuri Bashmet, Gary Hoffman, and Felicity Lott, as well as with the string quartets Borodin, Sine Nomine, Carmina, Amati, Prazák, Lindsay, Endellion, Jerusalem, Ysaÿe, and Parisii. She performs regularly in the world’s most prestigious concert halls, such as Wigmore Hall in London, the Wiener Musikverein, the Konzerthaus Berlin, Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, and the Théâtre du Châtelet. 

He performs frequently in Japan, the United States, Australia, the Far East, and across Europe, and is often invited to give masterclasses. He has recorded numerous albums with musicians such as Sviatoslav Richter, Viktoria Mullova, and the Moraguès Quintet, receiving several international awards.
