From that moment, fado became an integral part of his life. He made his first stage appearance at the age of 11.

At 15, he dared to explore the Portuguese guitar and fell in love with it instantly. He devoted himself to studying the instrument, gradually leaving the Viola de Fado behind. By 2010, at the age of 17, he fully embraced his identity as a guitarist.

In 2011, he began performing in several fado houses in Lisbon, while already being, since 2007, a resident musician at Casa de Fados O Bota Alta in Évora. Realizing that he could not escape his passion for the Portuguese guitar and fado, Bruno Chaveiro decided to pursue a professional career in music.

In 2013, he enrolled in the Portuguese Guitar degree program at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas (ESART) of the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco (IPCB), studying under Master Custódio Castelo, and graduated in 2016 with distinction and top marks (20/20).

Since 2016, he has collaborated with some of the most prominent Portuguese artists, including Raquel Tavares, Mísia, Pedro Moutinho, Celeste Rodrigues, Carminho, Cuca Roseta, Buba Espinho, Marco Rodrigues, and Ana Laíns, as well as performing in Lisbon’s most iconic fado houses.

In 2017, he embarked on a journey into composition, driven by a desire to share his own creations and favorite pieces with audiences. This desire, combined with 17 years immersed in fado, 10 years mastering the Portuguese guitar, and five years traveling the world promoting fado and Portuguese traditional music, culminated in his first solo album: #DESATINO, released in 2019. The album is fresh in its repertoire and arrangements, paying homage to legendary Portuguese guitarists such as Fontes Rocha, José Nunes, Domingos Camarinha, Casimiro Ramos, and Custódio Castelo, alongside his own compositions.

Whether performing in a trio, quartet, or quintet, Bruno Chaveiro takes the Portuguese guitar on a bold journey, blending the tradition of fado with popular music while showcasing his original works with immense talent and the irreverence of youth.

[41
16,85,32
65
post-14196","artista","type-artista","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pagina_artistas","ano-16","ano-85","ano-corrente","com-pagina-sim","entry","has-media
["GET
