Alfonso Pinto-Ribeiro was born in Porto in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He began his first piano lessons at the age of four with his mother, the pianist Rosa Maria Barrantes, and started studying violin at the age of seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He studied at the Academia de M\u00fasica de Santa Cec\u00edlia in Lisbon with Denis Stetsenko and L\u00edgia Soares, later continuing his violin studies at the Conservat\u00f3rio Nacional de Lisboa with Joana Cipriano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is currently pursuing his higher studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, one of the world\u2019s most prestigious music institutions, in the class of Professor Esther Hoppe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has been awarded in several violin competitions, winning 1st Prize at the \u201cVechi Costa\u201d Competition in 2021 and 1st Prize ex aequo at the Ver\u00e3o Cl\u00e1ssico - Festival & Academy in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has participated in numerous violin masterclasses with internationally renowned teachers such as Ana Chumachenco, Mihaela Martin, Pavel Vernikov, Eszter Haffner, Svetlana Makarova, and Jack Liebeck, among others. He has also studied with Mateja Marinkovic in Belgrade, Stephan Picard in Berlin, and Lily Francis in Salzburg. In the field of chamber music, he has worked under the guidance of Miguel da Silva, Lars Anders Tomter, and Cibr\u00e1n Sierra V\u00e1zquez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has performed in various concerts, with highlights including appearances at the Ver\u00e3o Cl\u00e1ssico Festival in Lisbon, the Cidnay Festival in Vale do Ave, the Bragan\u00e7a ClassicFest, and the Festival de Musique de Pr\u00e9mery in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
