Born in Buenos Aires, Marcelo Nisinman is one of the most renowned bandoneon soloists of our time. He is also a prolific composer and arranger, with a wide-ranging body of work that spans from solo pieces to compositions for symphony orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He studied bandoneon with Julio Pane and composition with Guillermo Graetzer in Buenos Aires, and later with Detlev M\u00fcller-Siemens at the Academy of Music in Basel, Switzerland. During his studies in his hometown, he had the unique opportunity to engage closely with \u00c1stor Piazzolla, developing a singular mentor-student relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recognized as one of today\u2019s leading bandoneon soloists, Marcelo Nisinman has performed with distinguished artists such as Martha Argerich, Gidon Kremer, Gary Burton, Fernando Su\u00e1rez Paz, and the Assad Brothers, as well as with orchestras including the Philadelphia Orchestra under Charles Dutoit, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, WDR Big Band, and the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has served as Composer-in-Residence at several music festivals, such as the Oxford Chamber Music Festival, and has been invited both as a composer and performer at festivals including Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival (Finland), Boswil Festival (Switzerland), Stift Festival (Netherlands), Obert\u00f6ne Chamber Music Festival (Austria), Festival du Jura (Switzerland), Zeitkunst Festival (Berlin and Paris), and the Sonoro Festival (Romania).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nisinman has composed several orchestral works featuring the bandoneon, including the piece \"Dark Blue Tango\" (published by Ricordi), which premiered in its chamber version with the Orchestra Musiques des Lumi\u00e8res and in its symphonic version with the Argentine National Symphony Orchestra, both under the baton of Facundo Agud\u00edn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
