The Swiss violinist Esther Hoppe has built an international reputation as soloist, chamber musician and pedagogue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After studying in Basel, at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, in London, and in Zurich, she was awarded First Prize at the prestigious 8th International Mozart Competition in Salzburg. Shortly thereafter, she founded the Tecchler Trio, which went on to win numerous prizes at major competitions, including First Prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Esther Hoppe performs regularly as a soloist with some of Europe\u2019s most prestigious orchestras, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, Les Si\u00e8cles (Paris), the Basel Chamber Orchestra, and the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her rich concert life also includes a strong focus on chamber music. Her artistic partners have included Clemens and Veronika Hagen, Nicolas Altstaedt, Vilde Frang, Heinz Holliger, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Alexander Lonquich, Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro, Lars Anders Tomter, Christian Polt\u00e9ra, and Ronald Brautigam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is a regular guest at renowned international festivals such as Lockenhaus, Ernen, Lucerne, Gstaad, Delft, Prussia Cove, and Styriarte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She has recorded several critically acclaimed CDs for the Virgin Classics, Neos, Concertus Records and Ars Musici labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since 2013, she has held the position of Professor of Violin at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
