One of the most sought-after sopranos today, Anna Samuil has been a soloist at the Berlin State Opera since 2004. In parallel, she serves as a Professor of Singing at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik \"Hanns Eisler\", also in Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her international career has taken her to some of the world\u2019s most prestigious stages, including Teatro alla Scala (Milan), the Metropolitan Opera (New York), the State Operas of Munich, Dresden, and Hamburg, as well as the opera houses of Valencia, Lyon, Tel Aviv, Tokyo, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. A regular guest at international festivals, she has achieved great success at the Salzburg Festival, Aix-en-Provence, Edinburgh, Glyndebourne, Verbier, the Arena di Verona, and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anna Samuil has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Neville Marriner, Lorin Maazel, Antonio Pappano, Pl\u00e1cido Domingo, Dmitri Kitayenko, Kent Nagano, Kirill Petrenko, Vladimir Jurowski, Gustavo Dudamel, Andris Nelsons, Massimo Zanetti, and Donald Runnicles, and with distinguished directors including Franco Zeffirelli, Peter Stein, and Marthe Keller, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born in Perm, she studied violin and singing at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. She has been awarded prizes at several prestigious international competitions, including the Tchaikovsky Competition and the Glinka Competition (Russia), the Franco Corelli Competition and Riccardo Zandonai Competition (Italy), the Klaudia Taev Competition (Estonia), and the Neue Stimmen Competition (Germany).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Her concert and recital appearances include prestigious venues such as Royal Opera House Covent Garden, BBC Proms, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Palais des Beaux-Arts, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Waldb\u00fchne, Philharmonie Cologne, Bolshoi Theatre (Moscow), Philharmonie am Gasteig, Konzerthaus Berlin, Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival, Rheingau Musik Festival, Norwegian Opera (Oslo), and festivals in Bad Kissingen, Colmar, and the Richard Wagner House in Bayreuth.
