Peter Sonn was born in Salzburg and graduated with honours from the Mozarteum University of Music and Performing Arts in his hometown. While still a student, he made his debut at the Salzburg Festival and at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, marking the beginning of an international career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He held permanent contracts at the Landestheater Coburg, the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, and the Staatstheater am G\u00e4rtnerplatz in Munich, where he developed an extensive operatic repertoire. Among the roles he has performed are Belmonte (Die Entf\u00fchrung aus dem Serail<\/em>), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni<\/em>), Ferrando (Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em>), Tamino (Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/em>), Nemorino (L\u2019elisir d\u2019amore<\/em>), Alfredo (La traviata<\/em>), Lenski (Eugene Onegin<\/em>), and the Steersman (Der fliegende Holl\u00e4nder<\/em>). During her time in Coburg, she was awarded a scholarship by the Richard Wagner Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Between 2009 and 2012, he was a member of the Zurich Opera, expanding his repertoire with roles such as David (Die Meistersinger von N\u00fcrnberg<\/em>), Narraboth (Salome<\/em>), the Italian Singer (Der Rosenkavalier<\/em>), and Vladimir Igorevich (Prince Igor<\/em>). The role of Tamino, by Mozart, has accompanied his throughout his career, with performances in Frankfurt, Hamburg, and at the Komische Oper Berlin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2012, he made his debut at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan as the Youth in Die Frau ohne Schatten<\/em>. This was followed by engagements at major opera houses, including the Berlin State Opera, the Bavarian State Opera, the Theater an der Wien, the Semperoper Dresden, and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
